PFA player of the year awards

Player of the year awards are just around the corner and it could be anyone’s win is it going to be a forward, midfielder, defender or GK that goes home with the prestigious player of the year and young player of the year award.
The PFA player of the year awards show is on Sunday the 5th of May at the Hilton in Glasgow. At the awards show they will be giving out various awards such as the golden boot award and the golden glove award.

The two leading candidates for the Player of the year award are Alfredo Morelos of Glasgow Rangers and Callum McGregor of Glasgow Celtic. These two are the favourites for the award because of their excellent performances through this season but the discipline of Alfredo Morelos may get in the way of him getting the player of the year award.

Also, at the awards show they will be giving out the awards for young player of the year which has been awarded to Kieran Tierney for the last three years in a row but could go to several people this year such as David Turnbull, Odsonne Edouard and Lewis Ferguson.
The person leading the way for top assists is James Tavernier who currently has 14 assists.
The award for golden glove could go to many people with the leaders currently being Liam Kelly and Zander Clark with 14 clean sheets but Scott Bain and Alan McGregor are just around the corner with 13 clean sheets.

Manager of the year award will more than likely go to Steve Clarke for the excellent season he had with Kilmarnock.

These upcoming games are going to be very important for every team in the league and it will be excellent to see who gets these awards when the 5th of May comes around.
